Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Savyour, you will be part of the platform engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining the core infrastructure and backend systems of our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, product management and frontend development to design, develop and deploy scalable and reliable software solutions. Your expertise in software engineering principles and practices will contribute to the overall success of our platform.

What you’ll do

• Lead the design, development, testing and maintenance of scalable and high-performance backend services and APIs for the platform.
• Collaborate with product management, DevOps and frontend development teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of platform components.
• Drive architectural decisions, provide technical guidance and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the platform.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, conduct code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
• Optimize code, improve system performance and ensure scalability, reliability and security of the platform.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices and drives the adoption of new tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine product roadmaps, estimating effort and resources required for development initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field.
• 4 years of working in similar field and have experience in software development using core PHP, MySQL, and Apache.
• Must be able to design, build and maintain REST APIs
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C# (programming languages).
• Experience with Spring Boot, Django, Laravel or .NET (backend development frameworks).

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of data structure, database architecture, and complex database designs.
• Strong understanding of Git (version control system) and collaborative software development workflows.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Extensive experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems.
• In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices.
