Senior SQA Engineer (Manual)

As a SQA Engineer at Savyour, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform through comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers and DevOps to design test plans, execute test cases and report and track defects. Your expertise in software testing methodologies and tools will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality and user-friendly platform.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for platform features.
• Design, develop and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Perform manual and automated testing of backend APIs, user interfaces and data integrity.
• Identify, document and track software defects using bug tracking systems.
• Work closely with software engineers to analyze and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed bug reports and logs.
• Participate in code and design reviews to ensure testability, reliability and maintainability of the platform.
• Conduct root cause analysis of issues, providing recommendations and solutions for improvement.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure test environments are properly set up and maintained.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software quality assurance and testing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or similar field.
• 4+ years of working experience in the relevant area with a focus on API and backend testing
• Test Automation experience using Selenium Webdriver.
• Experience with automated load/stress and performance testing and tools
• Security testing experience would be a plus

• Hands-on Experience on Android/iOS/ Website
• Ability to learn quickly and handle the pressure
• Understanding of software development life cycle and software testing methodologies.
• Experience in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Proficiency in test automation using tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Knowledge of bug tracking systems and experience in defect tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
