SQA Automation Lead

As SQA Automation Lead at Savyour, you will be responsible for leading and managing the automation testing efforts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, define testing strategies, develop test frameworks, and oversee the execution of automated tests. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in automation testing, and a deep understanding of software development processes.  

What you’ll do

• Define and implement automation testing strategies, frameworks and methodologies to ensure efficient and effective testing of software applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, identify test scenarios, and determine the appropriate automation approach.
• Develop test plans, test cases and test scripts for automated testing.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance existing automation frameworks for improved test coverage, scalability, and efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Execute automated test scripts, analyze test results, and report defects to the development team.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to reproduce and troubleshoot defects.
• Monitor test execution progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to set up and maintain the necessary test environments, test data, and test infrastructure required for automation testing.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the testing team.
• Mentor and coach team members, promote knowledge sharing and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5-6 years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 3 years of experience in automation testing.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Selenium, TestNG framework, Cucumber/BDD / Cypress/
• Minimum 3 years of JavaScript/ Java/ Python programming and software engineering.
• Hands-on experience in test infrastructure/test suite development.

Required Skills

• Good experience in Automation Testing, Java/ Python/ JavaScript Programming, Framework Development experience, Web Application, and API Testing, Knowledge of Test frameworks, Build and Version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, TFS, GIT).
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab, to automate testing and deployment processes.
• Experience in Web Applications and API testing.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
