Written By Store Hopper
I am a staff writer and have visited countless grocery stores numerous times; whatever I need, I know exactly where to get it from! I am a superhero - I identify value for money in any grocery list.
I am a health-conscious person. My routine starts with some lemon water and exercise in the morning. I like to stay on top of my health and for that, I feel tapping into my everyday meals is very important.
If I can plan ahead what I will be eating, this not only saves me from sinking into unhealthy food but also saves me money by not ordering food online. The big process of this routine is meal prepping. That also means coming up with recipes that are easy to make, require little prep time, and are healthy and full of nutrients.
I like to use lots of oat-based recipes in meal prep since these are easy to make, and are loaded with nutrients. The benefits of oats are countless. Along with being low in calories, these are also very filling. So, I do not have to worry about feeling before my next meal time.
Oats are made using cereal grain. It comes from a plant and can be cooked in multiple ways. It is used as a base for multiple recipes such as oat pancakes, oat cookies, oat flatbreads, etc. With oats, options are limitless.
However, not every kind of oat is perfect for all recipes. There are multiple kinds of oats and to name a few which are mostly used in Pakistan are; rolled oats, instant oats, and quick oats.
I have tried multiple recipes by using multiple brands offering oat and here is my take on the following.
I have also rated the following brands based on availability, additives, flavoring, and variants options.
My Top Oats Picks Available in Pakistan
Quaker oats provide two different variations in oats; quick cook oats and white oats. These are widely available and come in two different packaging options.
I have been using these for a long time. In fact, I have always seen my mother using Quaker oats since my childhood so this packet of oats brings nostalgia to me. These are easy to make and take only 5 minutes, depending on how I want to season this delicious bowl of oats.
Nature’s Own Oats
Nature’s Own Oats are 100% natural oats and provide only one variant, which is quick cook white oats. This brand is also widely available and is an inexpensive one. For ease, the company also has two different packages available, tin packaging and poly bags.I recently tried this brand and it is a delicious treat for anyone who enjoys distinct earthy flavoring.
Jenan Oats are not as widely available as other options, however, these are the most inexpensive options that I have found till now.
These usually come in a bundle pack of two. Although, these also come in single-tin packaging and poly bags are also available. This brand provides only one white oat variant. I like their flavoring, it can easily compete with other higher-priced options. I only wish it was easy to stock up on.
Things I Look for Before Buying my Packet of Oats
Price Value for Money
I always look for options that provide me a high value for my bucks. Therefore, I try to find oats that provide the same flavoring as the ones with a higher price.
