Taste: This One’s for Desi Food Lovers

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? I indulged in some of the most incredible barbecue dishes I have ever tasted. I’m talking about the food that makes your heart skip a beat. 

Allow me to introduce you to the main attraction: Mutton Hunzai Kabab. When I tasted it, this juicy meat dissolved on my tongue with an exquisite mix of spices that left me weak in the knees.

And don’t even get me started on the Chicken Tikka Boti – it was so juicy and tender that I had to remind myself to breathe between bites.

If you want to try one of the best Chicken Karahi in town, the Chicken Koyla Shahi Karahi of Cafeela is the way to go!

It’s one of my personal favorites.

Its scent alone left me craving more; when I took a bite, the taste that erupted in my mouth made me ecstatic! The Karahi had a creamy gravy that granted waves of pleasant flavors – so pleasurable that after one serving, I longed for another!

Honestly, I fell in love with this food. It was that good. 

Price: Here’s Where it Gets Expensive

Unfortunately, these dishes are too expensive. Here are the prices:

• Mutton Hunzai Kabab: PKR 1230
• Chicken Tikka Boti: PKR 800
• Chicken Koyla Shahi Karahi (Full): PKR 2800

But for the taste, it’s worth it. If that isn’t enough to convince you, I don’t know what is!

Service: There’s Room for Improvement

Despite the great taste, I noticed that service at Cafeela wasn’t up to par. Even though the manager tried his best, some young staff still don’t understand the importance of revisiting customers to ensure they have what they need.

However, I will credit them for how fast the servers served the food. 

It was in just 20 minutes. Plus, the food was hot and fresh – despite the service issue, I can’t complain!

Ambience: A Traditional Twist

From the moment I entered Cafeela, the traditional decor won me over. There is a comfortable sitting area with takhs and chairs to ensure everyone feels at home – whether it’s a family or someone dining solo. 

The lighting around the restaurant was well-lit and perfect for capturing all the fantastic pictures I took. 

Plus, there is a small play area for children and even traditionally dressed poets who recite verses for their customers – what an entertaining twist!

Honorable Mentions: You Haven’t Tasted Nothing Yet

Another one of Cafeela’s signature dishes is its Lamb Chops. They are pure magic. 

The chops have a charred crust on the outside that gave way to the most succulent and juicy meat inside. Every bite brings out the natural taste of the lamb.

But the chef’s exquisite attention to detail elevates this dish to the next level. The cook has every cut of meat seared to the same tenderness for a consistent outcome.

And the presentation is just as impressive as the taste. The beautifully-arranged chops on the plate have a garnish on top, adding a pop of color and a hint of freshness.

To summarize my review, Cafeela is a hidden gem in the city’s food scene, and I wholeheartedly recommend you try it out if you haven’t already. The flavors of these dishes will leave your taste buds buzzing!
