If you're a biryani fan, make sure to check out Farhan Biryani. The food is amazing, the service great, the price is completely reasonable, and do not forget to try their yakhni pulao. This is not a place for family.

What we like
- The food is really good and reasonably priced
- The service is good
- The place is quite tidy
What we don’t like
- It is not a place for family
- The place was crowded when I went there
The reason for Farhan Biryani’s popularity is its delicious Pakistani food. The restaurant serves a variety of Biryanis and Yakhni Pulao, all of which are perfectly cooked. Chicken and Beef Biryanis are trendy among customers.
Farhan Biryani is a true success story in the world of restaurants and eateries. Founded in 2006 by Farhan Memon, this humble eatery started with just a handful of tables and chairs. However, due to its exceptional food and welcoming atmosphere, it quickly gained popularity among diners and had to expand to accommodate more customers. It has become one of Karachi’s most famous Biryani restaurants, with people coming from all over the city.
A great place to eat delicious Biryani at reasonable prices.
Location And Timing: Accessible
The restaurant is located at Plot No D 56, block 12 Gulistan e Johar, Karachi. It is open from 12 pm to 11 am.
Biryani: Mouth-Watering
Considering the popularity of Farhan biryani, I ordered a plate of Chicken biryani. The biryani was very flavorful, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The rice was also perfectly cooked, and the spice level of the biryani was up to mark for me. I ordered Raita and Salad separately with my biryani. Without them, my biryani experience would have been incomplete.
Price: Pocket Friendly
Disclaimer: The prices quoted below are subject to change.
The biryani is very reasonably priced. For a large portion, it will cost you around Rs.500 for a Kg. which can easily be had by four persons. I ordered 375 gm of Biryani, and it was enough for me. The price of biryani is as follows:
- Chicken Biryani: PKR 460-1Kg:
- Chicken Biryani: PKR 230-500gm:
- Chicken Biryani: PKR 170-375gm
- Chicken Biryani: PKR 120-250gm
Service: Happy
The waiter came to me when I sat on the chair and handed over the menu card. I ordered biryani with raita and salad. After some time, my food came, which was an outstanding taste I felt on my first bite. I enjoyed the taste of Biryani. The service was quite good, as the biryani was served hot and fresh.
Atmosphere: Ordinary
It is not a place for family. If you are a biryani lover, go with the boys. I went there alone, but I suggest you go with friends and enjoy biryani in Thali. The place was quite tidy. It was too crowded when I went there, but it is because of Friday.
Honorary Mention: Don’t Miss
If you are looking for something different from the usual Chicken Biryani, try Farhan’s Yakhni Pulao.
The Yakhni Pulao at Farhan Biryani is also the stuff of legend. I’ve heard people sing its praises, and I could see how a group of people was enjoying Chicken Yakhni Pulao with Biryani at Farhan biryani restaurant in the afternoon. The Yakhni Pulao is cooked with chicken and rice in a broth of spices, yogurt, and ghee. The rice is perfectly cooked and absorbs all the flavors of the gravy. You can enjoy the Yakhni Pulao with Raita and a small salad.
Final Verdict:
I recommend this place to all the biryani lovers out there. The taste, price, and service are all up to the mark. Visit Farhan Biryani if you are in Karachi or live in the surrounding areas and looking for an excellent place to have some delicious biryani.
If you’re in search of a more upscale dining experience with a secure environment for females, Farhan Biryani might not be your best bet as it can get quite crowded. However, for those looking for a sophisticated ambiance and a perfect spot for family get-togethers, Royal Taj is a must-visit.
