Panem Et Circenses: A Gul Shinwari Restaurant Review

There’s no doubt that people love Gul Shinwari – and for good reason! 

Not only is the food amazing, but there’s also a wide variety of traditional Pakistani dishes to choose from. Whether you’re feeling Chicken Karahi or barbecue, you’ll find it at Gul Shinwari. On top of all that, the atmosphere here is always lively and vibrant; perfect for a night out with family or friends. And trust us, you will be in good hands with the hospitable staff!

Rather than another expensive, common night out, come to Gul Shinwari for an enjoyable experience with delicious food and amazing people – I guarantee you won’t regret it!

Food: Start Your Engines

The Chandan Kabab from Gul Shinwari was phenomenal. The kebabs were cooked to perfection with the perfect seasoning, and they were so juicy! They also came with a delicious mint chutney that gave it such a refreshing touch.

My taste buds didn’t receive relief there.

The Charsi Tikka at Gul Shinwari was definitely the best thing on the menu. It was absolutely fantastic! The chicken was so tender and juicy, and the spices were just perfect. I have never had such a delicious tikka before. 

I was absolutely amazed at how flavorful and juicy the Beef Keema was at Gul Shinwari. The spices were so perfectly balanced, and the meat was cooked just right. It was an incredible dish, and I can’t wait to go back and try it again!

The Kandhari Naan was soft and fluffy and had just the right amount of garlic. It wasn’t too greasy either. Perfect for a scrumptious meal!

Price: Deliver What Was Promised

I went with my 4 other friends to Gul Shinwari Restaurant. Our cumulative order was:

• Chandan Kabab: PKR 700
• Charsi Tikka: PKR 280
• Beef Keema: PKR 950
• Kandhari Naan (10): PKR 60

The total bill came to PKR 2530. We thought it was quite reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food.

Service: A Mixed Bag

The staff at Gul Shinwari Restaurant was amazing! They constantly made sure we had what we needed and they always went above and beyond to make our experience great.

The service was quick, and the food came out in under 30 minutes as promised. The servers were attentive and polite and made sure our water glasses were always full.

The only downside is that the parking situation could be better. The valet service wasn’t very efficient, and I almost saw one of the attendants get into an accident.

Ambiance: Laugh Out Loud

The first thing that hits you when you walk into Gul Shinwari is the wonderful smell of spices. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful decor and comfortable seating. 

And that’s not even all!

Gul Shinwari is one of the most unique restaurants I’ve ever been to. Not only was the ambiance amazing, but the entertainment was also top-notch.

During my last visit, two classically-dressed performers came to our table and started a poetry session. It was so much fun to watch and participate in. I can’t think of anywhere else where you can find such an authentic and fun experience.

Honorable Mentions: Out-Of-The-Box

I highly recommend this dish to anyone looking for something unconventional. Gul Shinwari Restaurant has a pretty great Mutton Mandi. The dish is made with mutton, rice, and a variety of spices. The result is a fragrant, flavorful, and hearty meal.

The ingredients are simple but the taste is truly delicious. You won’t be disappointed!
