You see, I’ve always considered myself quite the Häagen-Dazs enthusiast. My friends had raved about their amazing experiences with Häagen-Dazs during their travels abroad, and I couldn’t help but envy them just a bit.
But here comes the best part – and my “aha!” moment – brace yourself: there was a Häagen-Dazs branch right in Karachi all this time! I know, I know, you’re probably thinking, “How on earth did you miss that?” Believe me, I’m asking myself the same question.

The prices were shockingly high, enough to make even a seasoned ice cream lover like me shiver. They were far higher than other restaurants in Karachi. I couldn’t help but feel a pang of disappointment. However, the sticker shock hit me like a scoop of icy truth, and I realized that not everyone could afford to have Häagen-Dazs.
It stung to know that this international brand, while undoubtedly luxurious, had set prices that were out of reach for a wide portion of the local population. As I watched other customers hesitate before reluctantly placing their orders, I couldn’t help but wonder if Häagen-Dazs was unintentionally pushing away a significant segment of potential customers.
Service: Chillax
As I entered the Häagen-Dazs outlet in Karachi, I could already sense that this was not your typical local ice cream parlor experience. Being an international chain, Häagen-Dazs had a reputation to uphold, and boy, did they deliver! When it comes to serving smiles, Häagen-Dazs truly takes the crown!
The staff’s attentiveness extended beyond just taking orders; they actively engaged with customers, making the entire experience feel personal and special. It was as if they knew that they weren’t just selling ice cream; they were delivering moments of happiness. This dedication to exceptional customer service set them apart from the crowd of local ice cream parlors.
Even during busy hours, they managed to maintain an air of efficiency without sacrificing that personal touch. The way they interacted with customers was a masterclass in balancing professionalism and playfulness, leaving no doubt that they genuinely enjoyed making people’s days a little sweeter.
Accessibility: Chasing the Cold
Häagen-Dazs has carved out a unique niche by having only one branch at Khayaban-e-Nishat, a location that certainly added an air of exclusivity and prestige. However, this also meant that accessing it required a bit of effort. On the upside, to bridge the gap, Häagen-Dazs has set up their own delivery service, allowing ice cream lovers to summon their favorite flavors straight to their doorstep.
Yet, there was a tiny bit of disappointment. Häagen-Dazs had chosen not to partner with FoodPanda, which left me and many others puzzled. As an avid user of the food delivery app, I couldn’t help but wish for the convenience of having Häagen-Dazs at my fingertips. Nonetheless, this omission also perpetuated the aura of exclusivity surrounding the brand, creating a sense of longing that made each visit feel all the more special.
