I recently tested the Infinix Hot 12 Play phone. Quite impressive!
The Infinix Hot 12 Play is a budget-friendly phone that doesn’t skimp on features. I checked the phone’s battery life and found it better than most. The phone lasted more than a day on a single charge with moderate use.
Furthermore, the phone has a large display and dual rear cameras.
Display – A Pleasure To Use
When I first set my eyes on the Hot 12 Play, I was drawn in by its beautiful display. The 6.82-inch HD+ screen is bright and vivid, with clear visuals that make it a pleasure to use.
Whether scrolling through my social media feeds or streaming my favorite shows, the Hot 12 Play’s display made it a joy. And with a 20:9 aspect ratio, I enjoyed even more content without sacrificing any screen real estate.
However, there is no Corning Gorilla Glass protection on display, so I have to be careful not to scratch it. The Hot 12 Play’s display is one of its best features and makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for an affordable smartphone with a great screen.
Processor – Perfect For Basic Tasks
The Hot 12 Play from Infinix is an excellent phone for those looking for a budget-friendly option that still offers good performance. Infinix hot 12 works well for me because I was looking for a mid-processor perfect for browsing and doing basic tasks.
The processor of Hot 12 Play is a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22, a 12 nm chipset. It has an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz. The GPU is the ARM Mali-G52 MP2. The phone could handle most tasks without any issues. Games ran smoothly, and web browsing was fast. I also didn’t notice any lag when switching between apps.
Camera – Moderate
When it comes to taking pictures, the Infinix Hot 12 Play has the potential to produce some great shots. The dual 13 MP camera setup ensured plenty of detail and clarity, and the selfie camera is an 8 MP sensor, so I can rest assured that my photos looked great.
The video quality was also impressive. The phone supports 1080p @ 30fps video recording for both cameras, so it also captured some fantastic videos.
Battery – More Power
The Infinix Hot 12 Play has a Li – Po 6000 mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to 124 hours of music playback or 18 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi, or 8 hours of gaming.
The battery life could be better. I could get through a full day of use but Charge it at least once a day if you are a heavy user.

Final Verdict
The Infinix Hot 12 Play is a budget smartphone with decent features such as an octa-core processor, large battery capacity, good cameras, etcetera. However, there are some drawbacks as well, such as its Plastic body build, which could have been better for the price range that it falls into and it also lacks fast charging support which could have been another USP for this phone but sadly isn’t there.
