Review of Itel A49

Some features of ITEL A49 are great, while others aren’t as much. How did I decide that?

Well basically, I tested the performance, battery, display, operating system, and camera.

The long battery life and the sophisticated OS are the two most powerful factors. Plus, the design and display are also solid and bright.

So, what are the cons? Read on to find out!

Design: Cinematic Brilliance

ITEL A49 has a large IPS LCD display that is just perfect for watching movies and TV shows. It gives a true cinematic experience on just a simple mobile screen. Feel every moment!

That’s not all! The resolution is enough so no action could be missed. Everything is detailed clearly. The color reproduction is also phenomenal.

Additionally, I found the capacitive touchscreen to be extremely responsive. This makes the phone a breeze to use.

Performance: Weak

This phone doesn’t cut it when it comes to gaming.

The PowerVR GE8320 GPU is too weak to handle even the most basic of games. Not only that, but the 32GB ROM is far too small to store anything remotely demanding.

Fun Fact: this phone won’t even be able to download PUBG, let alone run it.

Plus, the 2GB RAM is just laughable. It is not even market-competitive. Never recommend this phone to anyone who wants to play heavy games on their mobile device.

Battery Life: Dynamic

The battery is great – it lasts for a really long time. I never have to worry about my phone dying in the middle of the day. This is amazing! 

All in all, the battery life is one of the best things about this phone.

Software: Stay Connected, Stay Safe

There have been some major upgrades in the OS of Android 11 compared to previous models. The phone has a lot of exciting new features that other phones don’t have.

The best thing I discovered after purchasing ITEL A49 was that Android Auto can now work wirelessly. With Android 11, it is possible to skip the cable and hit the road without plugging in. 

It is very common to play music in the car or sync the calls to avoid getting distracted while driving. This makes it easier and safer to stay connected on the road. Great improvement in every way!

Camera: Not Good, Not Bad

ITEL A49 is not made for photography enthusiasts, but it does have some good features nonetheless.

It comes with a dual 5 MP main camera. 

These specifications usually fall in the lower tier of camera phones. Other mobiles in the market are far more equipped to handle greater demands in terms of photography.

However, the additional features are quite good. The LED flash feature makes it ideal for night photography. The video stabilization feature ensures that the videos are smooth and steady. Lastly, the snapshot in video recording can capture great moments while recording a video.

Final Verdict

ITEL A49 is a difficult smartphone to categorize. There are some great features, while others are not that great. But the strong battery life and advanced OS are strong factors that influence my opinion. Furthermore, the design and display are also solid and brilliant.

I would recommend you to buy ITEL A49 if you are looking for a good budget phone from ITEL.
