If you're ever in Karachi and craving some Nihari, Karachi Nihari House is the place to go!
They've been perfecting their recipe for years, slow-cooking the beef in a Deg until it's melt-in-your-mouth tender. The stew is served with Tandoori Roti and a side of green chilies and ginger - delicious!
In addition to Nihari, Karachi Nihari House also has other classic Pakistani dishes like Tikka, Kababs, Rolls, and seafood. The menu is also reasonably priced.
Last week on Thursday, I went to Karachi Nihari House with my family to try their famous Nihari. The restaurant was busy, but we were able to get a table relatively quickly.
We ordered Maghaz Nihari and Plain Nihari, both of which were served with Tandoori Roti, a side of green chilies, and ginger. The Nihari was delicious and the beef was cooked perfectly.
The gravy was rich and flavorful, the hot and crispy Roti was the perfect accompaniment, and the green chilies added a nice kick.
We were very impressed with the Nihari at Karachi Nihari House and would definitely try it again.
