As soon as the waiter brought out my Yankee Steak, I was practically salivating at the sight of it. MAN! Even just thinking about it now makes my mouth water. I was particularly struck by its sheer size – a mammoth slab of meat that looked almost too good to be true. But as soon as I cut into it, I knew that it was the real deal. And when I took my first bite, I was transported to a state of pure meaty bliss.

The steak was absolutely gorgeous – tender and juicy on the inside, with a perfect crust on the outside that added a satisfying crunch with each bite. The seasoning was spot on, with just the right amount of garlic paste and steak sauce to enhance the natural tanginess of the meat without overpowering it. 

And the American cheese on top was the proverbial icing on the cake – it melted perfectly over the top, adding a creamy richness that took the dish to a whole new level. The steak was so good that I found myself savoring every morsel, prolonging the experience as much as possible. And despite its massive size, I found myself wanting more when it was finally over.

Price: Happy Tears of Meat

All I can say is: Maxims Restaurant does not skimp on quality. The Yankee Steak will set you back PKR 1945, which is more expensive than the average steak price at other Continental restaurants in the city. Let’s be honest – a good steak doesn’t come cheap. 

And Maxims delivers – if you’re looking to invest in a high-quality steak experience, this one should be at the top of your list. Honestly, I had to contain my excitement when I saw the bill – anything less than premium would have seemed shady to me!

The waitstaff at Maxims Restaurant is as loyal to their customers as the customers are to them. For years, they’ve consistently provided an outstanding level of service that supports the extraordinary steak experience that Maxims offers. 

I had the pleasure of dealing with a particular waiter who was friendly, polite, and efficient – three qualities that are hard to find in restaurant staff. He knew exactly when to come back to check on me and never once made me feel rushed.

Even after the recent renovation, the restaurant still retains the rustic mahogany-inspired décor that harkens back to the late 80s/90s – a very nostalgic look and feel.

Don’t be fooled by Maxims’ reputation as a steakhouse – they’ve got some serious desi food game too! From Karahi’s to Handi’s like Chicken White Karahi to Chicken Red Karahi to Chicken Handi and beyond, Maxims has a veritable treasure trove of desi delicacies just waiting to be devoured.

As a desi myself, I was delighted to see this. And let me tell you, they do not disappoint! Whether you’re in the mood for something creamy and indulgent or something with a bit more of a kick, Maxims has got you covered.
