Dark, floral, and woody: A winter scent with staying power!
I know that some people might think that it’s weird to switch scents every season, but that’s just me. I like to keep things fresh and new, especially when it comes to smells. For winter this year, I’ve chosen Mood by Limelight. It’s the perfect scent for someone with a moody personality like me. It’s dark and mysterious, just like winter itself.
I bought this perfume for its opening scent of violets. The scent of violet always reminds me of my grandma’s house. Every time I walked in, I would be overwhelmed by the sweet fragrance. It was like a hug from her every time I visited.
Even now, years after she’s passed away, the smell of violet still brings back happy memories. I can picture her smiling face and hear her laughter ringing in my ears. It’s a bittersweet reminder of the times we shared. Even though she’s gone, her memory remains alive in me. Whenever I smell violets, it’s like she’s right there with me again.
With violets, Mood has more to unveil. As I first spray it on, the top notes envelop me in a warm embrace. Iris, violet, and cardamom mingle together to create a floral bouquet that’s both delicate and exotic.
After a few moments, the heart notes start to make themselves known.
A blend of papyrus and leather comes through, lending the scent a touch of earthiness. It’s grounding and reassuring, like a well-worn sweater on a cold day.
Finally, the base notes start to come through. Sandalwood, amber, and Virginia cedar create a rich foundation that gives the scent its staying power. Together, they create a warm, woody aroma that lingers long after I’ve sprayed it on.
The bottle of Mood is a sleek, red-colored beauty with a golden cap. It’s a beautiful bottle, and it looks great on my dressing table. However, I was disappointed with the cardboard box packaging. The box is very plain and doesn’t do justice to the beautiful bottle inside. I would have preferred something more luxurious-looking, like a velvet-lined box. Nevertheless, the perfume inside is lovely and long-lasting, so I’m willing to overlook the mediocre packaging.
How to Apply
