From its revolutionary transparent back to its eye-catching design and impressive battery life, the Nothing Phone 1 is about to make a statement. Look at this powerful piece of technology and see if it’s worth your money!

Design & Build

  • IP53 – Splash, Dust, and Water Resistant
  • Transparent Back-Design
  • Multiple LEDs on the back
  • Comparatively Lightweight

I was surprised that the Nothing Phone 1 was notably lightweight for its size and felt comfortable in my hand. The sleek design, premium fit, and finish make it an attractive addition to any wardrobe.

Transparent Back

Its transparent back was one of its most notable features. It allowed me to see the internals and all the intricate parts, making it feel like a living piece of technology – something that feels more personal and connected to me.

Multiple LEDs

The phone also boasts multiple LED lights on the back, which can be used for notifications, charging progress, or even a camera fill light if I am taking photos in low light. There’s also a blinking red LED on the back for me when I am recording videos.

The phone is available in two colors (Black and White) that are equally premium and give it a unique touch.

Display – Crisp and Clear

  • 1B Colors.
  • 700 nits bright.
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

I was blown away by the OLED display of the Nothing Phone 1. It was bright and vibrant and had a 120 Hz refresh rate, making scrolling through the phone and playing games incredibly smooth. The 1B colors and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 gave me a feeling of luxury while using it – and shielded my screen from possible damage.

Performance – Fluid Performance

It performs flawlessly because of.

  • Snapdragon 778G Plus.
  •  Adreno 642L GPU.
  • Heavy Performing Octa-Core Processor.

I was genuinely shocked by the performance of Nothing Phone 1. The device easily handled everything I threw at it with its Snapdragon 778G Plus and heavy-performing octa-core processor. The Adreno 642L GPU also kept up with my gaming needs – making games look beautiful without lag or stuttering.

The latest Android Makes it Easy

The UI experience is smooth and fluid – thanks to the latest Android 12. I had no issues finding my way around the phone with its intuitive interface, and there were no lags or hiccups.

Gaming Experience

It gave me one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. PUBG, COD Mobile, and Asphalt heavy graphics games ran as smoothly as water flowing in the ocean.

Camera – Nothing but Perfect

  • Dual (50 + 50) MP Rear Camera.
  • 4K Video at 30fps.
  • Single 16MP Front Camera.

Nothing Phone 1 proved to be a powerhouse regarding its camera performance. The dual 50 MP rear cameras with an f/1.9 aperture gave me incredibly detailed images, and the 4K video at 30fps was perfect for recording films or vlogs on the go.

Ultrawide 50 MP Camera

I was impressed by the ultrawide 50 MP camera, which allowed me to capture photos with more of the background included in my shot. The live HDR feature also captured scenes with high contrasts and bright lighting.

Front Cam

The 16MP front-facing selfie camera gave me a good enough image quality – perfect for taking selfies or video calling. Now I can impress anyone and be confident in my selfies.

Battery Life and Charging – Always Ready

  • Li-Ion 4500 mAh.
  • 33W wired charging.
  • 15W wireless.

The battery life of the Nothing Phone 1 is nothing to scoff at – it has a Li-Ion 4500 mAh battery, which lasts for more than a day if used moderately. With the 33W wired charging, I could get 50% charged in 30 minutes and a full charge in 70 minutes!

And 15W wireless charging is a plus, as I don’t like to toggle with wires all the time.

Network & Connectivity – Compatible with Everything

  • Wi-Fi 802.11.
  • Bluetooth 5.2.
  • NFC.
  • Overpower Positioning Specs.
  • USB Type-C 2.0.

Nothing Phone 1 comes with all the main connectivity specs, such as Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 5.2, letting me enjoy faster downloads and wireless music streaming for up to 15m away from my device. It also has NFC so that I can make payments quickly and securely.

The position specs are also backed up with GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, and QZSS – so I was never left out of my way when traveling! Moreover, the USB Type-C 2.0 ensures fast data transfers and quick charging.

Sensors – Overwhelming

I was sick of those side-mounted or rear fingerprint sensor phones, but I found the Nothing Phone 1 – with an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. It was a great touch – allowing me to unlock my phone quickly and securely without worrying about smudging up the back of the phone.

The accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and compass sensors worked perfectly for gaming and navigation.
