New Launch Alert: Smashed Beef Burger

Upon entering OPTP’s Sehar Commercial branch, my eyes were drawn to this massive picture of a juicy beef burger plastered on the electronic board above the counter. Turned out it was the Smashed Beef Burger. I could feel my mouth watering just thinking about it, so I said, “screw my diet,” and ordered it.

These burgers were unlike the conventional frozen patty and used premium beef that came in minced packs before it got squashed. They are surely the freshest beef burger you can have. So, when the burger arrived at my table, … oh man. The grease was practically oozing out of the bun, and I’m pretty sure I saw my reflection in the oil slick on my hands. And the brioche bun? It tore apart at the slightest touch, revealing every little pore. That’s how fresh it was!

Without wasting a moment, I sank my teeth! The first thing that hit me was the taste of the beef. It was like BAM. Right in the feels. It was a full-on cow – putting me into a kind of meat-induced trance. And then the mushrooms slid into the mix, all slippery and juicy – just like mushrooms ought to be! The caramelized onions, drenched fancily in a tangy sauce, provided a sweet finish to each bite.

Yet when all was said and done, the aftertaste was of the beef. That was all I could think of! Like wow, BEEF! One last piece of advice? You have to eat it hot and happening – anything less would be like watching the Avengers on mute. It’s just not the same experience, you know? Taste: Pure Palate Perfection!

But the Smashed Beef Burger was not all that I had at OPTP! But before you start judging me for eating all this, let me tell you I was not alone! I had others with me as well! Let’s just get that out of the way!

First, let’s talk about the appetizer, the true king of hand-cut fries: Hot Garlic Mayo Fries. These fries were true happiness for any fry connoisseur. They had a fluffy, pillowy interior and a crispy exterior, generously coated in OPTP’s signature Hot Garlic Mayo sauce, a lip-smacking blend of tangy, garlicky, and creamy goodness. The sauce elevated the fries to new heights of flavor. 

For something light as a main course – the GMC Burger. The burger was a golden toasted bun sandwiching an exquisite crispy chicken patty. When I bit into this masterpiece, I was in heaven. The outside was crunchy yet did not dry out the succulent interior. 

Expertly seasoned for maximum deliciousness with each nibble, the fresh lettuce provided delightful crispiness that accentuated the juicy patty while offering its unique taste vibrancy. All completed by creamy garlic mayonnaise – tangy and divine. Pure palate perfection!

But for something with a bit more kick, the Nashville Hot Burger is the way to go. It’s an exquisite combination of a fried chicken leg filet smothered in delectable Nashville sauce and topped with crunchy coleslaw and tangy pickles. Bite into its crunchy exterior to uncover its succulent interior – it’s simply heavenly!

The spicy tanginess of their signature sauce creates a harmonious balance between heat and flavor that will make your taste buds sing with happiness. Try it once – I guarantee you’ll want more!

Price: OPTP under Price-o-Meter?

When it comes to price, OPTP is a mixed bag. Are fries at OPTP expensive? Yes! Would I still order OPTP Mayo Garlic Fries? Oh, yes! Starting from PKR 350, I definitely think OPTP fries are costly.  

However, the prices of the burgers are well worth it for the taste and quality you get. The GMC burger costs PKR 390, while the Nashville Hot costs PKR 520. I’ve had more expensive burgers that don’t come close to the quality of these.

Service: No Complaints

At OPTP, I was astounded by their speedy and welcoming service. Not only were the staff attentive to my preferences for dressing up my French fries, but they also had wheelchair access available so everyone could indulge in their tasty potatoes and burgers!

The Beef Doner is a thing of beauty. It’s a sight to behold, boasting layers of succulent, lean meat that dazzles with flavor. The garlic mayo sauce is the real MVP, infusing a tangy, garlicky kick that pairs perfectly with the meat.
