Steak-Tacular: A Review of Pranzo

When it comes to steak, I’m a bit of a snob. I have my go-to steak spots in Karachi where I know I can get a juicy cut of meat. So, when I heard about Pranzo, I was skeptical. After all, it’s not exactly a household name when it comes to steakhouses in Karachi. Still, I went nonetheless!

Sometimes it’s a great thing to step outside of your comfort zone. I never thought I would find a place that could rival my favorites, but here we are! In this review, I’ll dive deep into my dining experience at Pranzo and share why this restaurant deserves to be on the top of every steak lover’s list.

Taste: The Dish That Stole the Show

Upon seeing the menu at Pranzo, my eyes were fixated on the Parmesan Chicken Steak. It sounded like an interesting twist on a classic dish, so I decided to give it a try. As soon as the dish arrived at my table, I could see that it was a work of art. The deep-fried chicken had a crispy golden-brown exterior that gave way to juicy, tender meat inside. 

But the real star of the show was the Parmesan cheese sauce that adorned the chicken. It was cheesy, creamy, and rich, with just the right amount of tanginess from the Parmesan cheese. The sautéed veggies on the side were a welcome addition, providing a burst of freshness that complemented the richness of the chicken.

As I finished my meal, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction and delight. The Parmesan Chicken Steak surpassed my expectations and left me wanting more.

Price: Excellent Value for Money

When it comes to dining out, one of the most important factors for many of us is the price. After all, we want to enjoy a great meal without burning a hole in our wallets. I’ll be honest – when I saw that the Parmesan Chicken Steak was PKR 1495, I was a bit hesitant. 

It’s definitely not the cheapest dish on the menu, and I wondered whether it would be worth the price tag. But let me tell you, after tasting it, I can confidently say that it is excellent value for money. Not many restaurants in Karachi can claim that!

Service: Exemplary

One of the things that impressed me most about my dining experience at Pranzo was the quality of the service. My server was knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make recommendations off on my preferences. 

The waitstaff checked on me regularly throughout the meal to make sure that everything was to my liking, and he even offered to bring me a complimentary dessert at the end of my meal which I politely declined. And if you can’t make it to the restaurant, they also offer delivery through FoodPanda.

Ambience: A Second Home 

If you’re looking for a change of pace from the monotony of your daily routine, Pranzo is the perfect spot to escape. The restaurant is simply stunning, with gorgeous purple lighting that creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere. 

Whether you’re looking to have a romantic dinner with your significant other or catch up with friends, Pranzo is the perfect place to do it. The restaurant is also well-suited for family gatherings, with plenty of seating options to accommodate groups of all sizes. 

The overall aesthetic of the restaurant is sophisticated and elegant, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion or celebration. One downside to note is that paid valet parking is available. However, there is plenty of street parking available.

Honorable Mentions: Pure Veg

While Pranzo may be known for its steak and other meat dishes, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they also offer a wide range of vegetarian options. 

From classic desi favorites like Daal Makhni and Bhindi Fry to more international fare like Veggie Peri Bites, Pranzo had something to satisfy every kind of vegetarian craving.
