32 GB Internal Memory 3 GB RAM | PKR 29,999/- |
Redmi never fails to surprise me with its new models that are cheap but have a nice all-around performance. The Redmi A1+ is another example of such a smartphone – it combines great specs and features, including an attractive design and affordable price.
I tested every aspect of this budget-friendly mobile phone and wrote this review so users can easily decide if it is the phone they want!
Design & Build
- 192gm.
- Leather Texture.
- 164.9 x 76.8 x 9.1 mm dimensions.
The Redmi A1+ has a luxurious and high-quality design that felt great in my hand, thanks to its premium leather texture finish. It also boasts a smudge-free touch that makes it easy to use and handle. Its slim and compact dimensions of 164.9 x 76.8 x 9.1mm make it incredibly portable, making it perfect for users on the go.
Beautiful Color Option
- Light Green.
- Light Blue.Black.
This phone looks so attractive in all of these color options, and I especially loved the light green variant, which is ultra-trendy and fresh. The black color looks premium combined with leather texture, and light blue is a color for some peaceful and calm people.
Display
- IPS LCD.
- 400 nits bright.
- 6.52-inch screen.
Its display is one of the best I have seen on a budget smartphone – it uses an IPS LCD with 400 nits brightness, which is perfect for viewing in all kinds of lighting conditions. At 6.52 inches, the screen is big enough for media consumption and gaming without feeling overwhelming, and its crisp resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels makes for bright and vivid images.
Performance – Power Under Budget
- Android 12(Go Edition) is the stand-out feature.
- Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 (12 nm).
- 2 GB RAM.
I did not expect it to outclass heavy performers, but it gave me a better experience. It ran smoothly no matter what I threw at it except for really heavy apps, thanks to its chipset and quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex A53 CPU. It also comes with Android Go Edition 12, which is lightweight and fast – perfect for everyday use on a budget. This phone outperforms many similarly priced models, making it ideal for low-budget users.
Gaming Experience
This phone is good for playing games like subway surfers or temple run 2 or other games that are very light for this phone because its chipset and memory can’t fulfill all my needs. I have to settle for less because of my budget.
Memory & RAM
Here, I am getting only 2 GB RAM and 32 GB built-in space which is only enough to handle basic everyday needs. I also get an SD card jack here to increase my memory and continue enjoying my phone again.
Sound
The sound quality of this phone was satisfying. The loudspeaker worked well. Listening to music with or without headphones gave me relief. Yes! I am getting a 3.5mm jack that helps me connect headphones and feel the music in the air.
Camera – Not Bad, Not Great
- Dual Rear Camera.
- 13 MP (f/2.0) + 2 MP
- 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps.
The camera on this phone is not the best that I have seen on budget phones, but it still performs quite well in most lighting conditions and takes clear images with good color reproduction. It can also record 1080p HD video at 30 fps, which is great for capturing memories on the go. They provide a dual LED flash that helps me to record in the dark.
Selfie Camera
The selfie camera, however, could have been better – it performed satisfactorily, but I did notice some lag when I tried to take a picture quickly in low light conditions. The overall camera setup in this price range is okay. I would say it is not bad or great.
Battery – Long-Lasting Power
- 5000 mAh battery.
- 10W wired charging.
It surprised me with its huge battery capacity. It comes with a 5000 mAh battery capacity, which ensures that it lasts all day on a single charge and allows users to go several hours between charges even when they are using their phone heavily. It also supports 10W wired charging, so I can quickly and easily top up my phone when needed.
Network – Never Slows Down:
- Working on 4G and VoLTE.
- Bluetooth 5.0.
- MicroUSB 2.0.
This phone also supports dual SIM cards, so I can stay connected to the internet and make calls even when traveling with multiple phone numbers. It works on 4G networks and VoLTE for HD video calling and never drops a signal or slows down during calls.
Bluetooth 5.0 ensures that I can easily connect to other devices and transfer files, while a micro-USB 2.0 port allows me to plug in my phone for charging and file transfers easily, but it is a bit outdated USB version.
Sensors – Convenient
- Fingerprint (rear-mounted).
- Accelerometer.
This phone also has a rear fingerprint sensor for convenient and secure unlocking and an accelerometer for motion-based control. With all of these features in one affordable package, this is truly the perfect budget phone for anyone who wants to stay connected everywhere.
