This cell phone is made of plastic. Its sides and back are made of plastic and have a glass display. The back of this phone has multi-tone shades to it. 

It has a sleek design, and the bezels are minimal compared to other A-series models. It has slightly curved sides, which makes this phone easy to hold and provides an excellent grip to the user. 

On the back of this phone sits the rectangular four-lens camera with a flash right next to it. The fingerprint sensor is adjacent to the camera used to unlock this phone. The front camera is popping out of a small hole in the front display.

Average Display

This phone has a 6.5-inch PLS LCD, which is alright. I haven’t any trouble seeing through the phone’s screen, so you shouldn’t be concerned about its size. Comparing this phone’s 270 ppi screen resolution to other high-end AMOLED displays on Samsung phones appears cheap.

The screen-to-body ratio is acceptable. The balance is approximately 80%, which is not bad. 

Indoor and Outdoor Visibility

The IPS panel is alright, but new screen panels have replaced it since they provide better color contrast and dispersion. However, there won’t be any issues using this phone indoors; regrettably, using it outside can sometimes make it difficult to see through the screen.

Average Performance

This comes packed with an Exynos 850 chipset and a customizable option for RAM. This phone has options to choose RAM according to my needs. I have the opportunity to choose from 2-6GB RAM. I have used the 3GB RAM version of this phone, which was an annoying experience. 

I used to get frustrated when my phone took so long to respond to my conversations. Almost every action I take necessitates a brief delay.

I have yet to use the higher RAM models of this phone. They might be better than my 3GB version, but it wouldn’t be much different. However, 6GB RAM could do better. A 6GB version with a PLS display will be a safe option and perform well.

The smooth performance of films and games like Asphalt 9 on this phone is a plus. I was taken aback by this. Additionally, streaming services like Netflix and YouTube ran without a hitch.

Not up-to-date Software

This phone comes pre-installed with ONE UI 4.1 and Android 10, which can be upgraded to Android 12 later. I have anticipated no less than this time, given that Samsung has consistently offered their phones software support for at least three to five years.

Therefore, if anyone purchases this cell phone now, they will be okay with it becoming obsolete for a while.

Big 5000 mAh battery

I want a big battery on my device, so it will be a treat to use my phone. The lower-end display doesn’t sit heavy on the battery backup and doesn’t consume much compared to what AMOLED displays do. 

It sports a sizable 5000 mAh battery. I can quickly get a day’s battery backup from it, and if I don’t use it much, I can even get two days.

This phone supports 15 watts of fast charging, so I expect over two hours to charge from 0 to 100%. In this category, we have better options with speedy charging. However, this offer from Samsung is still acceptable, as this is a mid-category phone. 

Quad-Camera

This phone has a quad camera at the back, which consists of four sensors. The main sensor is 48MP, alongside 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie camera.

I have tested its camera and think it’s a good deal. The camera lets me take some good pictures. However, when I used it in the bright sunlight at the beach, it took some relatively more colorful photos. The images have good details and vibrancy in them.

I was surprised with one of its stand-out features, live focus mode. This feature allows me to adjust the background blur of a subject. It is a fun feature to use. The macro lens also provides quality pictures. I took close-ups of some flowers, and it does a beautiful job. 

The front camera has a 13MP sensor which is a good offer. It gives out good results with crispiness and vibrancy in it. I have felt satisfied with the front camera of this phone. 

I can also record 720p and Full HD videos with the back camera. Still, it doesn’t provide users with an upscale frame rate, which is disappointing. However, I can still customize the aspect ratio.
