I recently got my hands on Samsung’s new smartphone and was impressed with its smooth screen and 4G capabilities. In this review, I will share my thoughts on the phone’s design, display, battery life, performance, and network connection. Design & Build

I liked the design of the A22. Its sleek glass front and plastic frame give it a premium look that makes it stand out from other budget smartphones in the market.

The phone feels very sturdy in my hand, and I prefer a better design and can compromise on quality sometimes, so A22 is best for me because it fulfills all my needs. The four-camera module at the phone’s rear side gives it a modish look.

Colors

This phone has colors for every type of user. I like the black color as it looks professional and works well for business use. But white, mint green, and violet options are available if the user prefers something a little brighter or more playful.

Display

• 90Hz fast and smooth.

I am getting a 90Hz display which gives me a smooth scrolling experience. The Super AMOLED display delivers bright and vibrant colors, so I can watch movies and play games on the A22 without eye strain.

The 6.4 inches screen is a standard size that fits easily in almost every user’s hands and gives a premium look. The 600-nit brightness makes the screen visible in any lighting conditions. And 720 x 1600 pixels ensure I get a clear view of my images and videos.

Camera – Decent Photography Experience

The camera is decent but not extraordinary. The quad rear camera module gives me plenty of shooting options, including 48 MP wide, 8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP macro, and depth.

The 48 MP wide camera gives me clear and detailed images to capture all my favorite moments. The 8 MP ultra-wide lens is great for landscape shots, while the 2 MP macro helps me to get closer to small objects. It took some classy pictures of my pet, and the sunset images gave me the next level of satisfaction.

Selfie Camera

I am also happy with the selfie camera of 13 MP resolution, which gives me bright and sharp selfies. The front flash is also useful in low-light situations so that I can take selfies anytime and anywhere.

Battery – Spectacular

This phone impressed me with its battery life. With a powerful 5000mAh Li-Po battery, I can use my A22 for more than a day without worrying about charging it.

The charging it provides is just 15W, and I need more because it takes more than 2 hours to charge it to full capacity.

Performance – Average Chipset & GPU

I am not happy or sad with the performance of the Samsung A22. It’s running on Android 11, and while that is a relatively new operating system, it doesn’t have any special features or capabilities that make it stand out from other phones in the market. The chipset and GPU are average, so I could not get a better gaming experience or fast app loading times.

Memory

However, the phone has 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which is more than enough to store all my files and apps. And I suggest the user not store useless data in the phone because of the 4 GB RAM. The phone can lag if it gets out of space.

Network & Connectivity – Suitable

• It supports all cellular LTE frequencies.
• It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, and dual-band.
• Bluetooth 5.0.

This phone’s network and connectivity options are sufficient for my needs. It supports all cellular LTE frequencies, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspots, and dual-band. Dual-band provides better connectivity and less interference so that I can stream music or video without any lagging issues.

The Bluetooth 5.0 technology allows me to pair it with other devices easily and get faster data transfer speeds. The USB type-C gives me fast and secure charging.

Sensors – Accurate and Precise

• Side-mounted Fingerprint.

• GPS.

I am satisfied with the sensors of this phone. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, compass, GPS, and others that I use to track my fitness activity and locate items easily.

The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate, so I do not need to worry about my phone being stolen or misused.
