Reviewing Samsung A30s: Decent Mid-Range Smartphone

I’ve always been Samsung’s mobile phone fan and have been using it for quite a few years now. Before I was using Samsung’s S series and when Samsung launched their A series I was curious about how different it would be from the S series. 

I bought Samsung A30s last month. It is an affordable smartphone which is perfect for daily use. In this review I’ll share my experience about its design, display, processor and camera.

Good Design

This phone has a very mixed design. It looks like Samsung Galaxy A50 but it lacks some features where A50 stands out. The glossy back is prone to fingerprints and scratches and catches them very easily. You have to buy yourself a phone case to keep it clean from the fingerprints.

The buttons on the side of the phone feel a little sticky. They work fine but they don’t give the premium touch. The volume output of this phone isn’t very loud but it does the job.

Amazing Display

Coming to the display of this phone, it has an amazing display. This phone has a SUPER AMOLED panel and the color ratio is very good on this display. I could easily say that this 6.4 inches SUPER AMOLED Display is one of the best displays being offered right now in this category.

Outdoor brightness, color points, in-screen display profiles everything is top-notch on this phone. 

I am telling you that you wouldn’t face any problem with the display of this phone. It will prove itself sufficient in any condition. I tried to use it from the side of the screen and it did perfectly well.

Hardware on this Device is Just Good

The latest smartphones come packed with powerful features, such as the Exynos processor and MALI G71 MP2 GPU found in this one. However, with only 4 GB of RAM, multitasking may prove challenging and could lead to potential problems. On the bright side, network performance is exceptional, ensuring seamless call quality and no connectivity issues throughout the day.

How’s the Performance on this Phone

The phone is a perfect day-to-day partner and would do well in daily tasks. It would get you through your day without any problem. 

However, I wouldn’t recommend this phone to the people who are toes deep into gaming as this phone is not simply designed for that task. It lacks the power to perform well during multitasking and heavy gaming. 

Software Packed Inside this

This phone runs on ONE UI 1.1 and Android pie straight out of the box. Samsung has done really well while incorporating an optimum balance between its features and ease of use. 

Samsung has promised updates of at least 3 coming years so don’t worry about falling behind everyone in terms of software updates.

Sleek Camera

This phone has a very sleek camera setup at the back. It does the job just well as it has a 16MP Primary, 5MP wide and 16MP front camera. The camera doesn’t do many adjustments in colors and vibrancy on its own. 

Although, you would get some cool filters and themes to choose from. It adds a touch of color to your captured photos.
