Samsung Galaxy S22: Small But Good Package

The Samsung Galaxy S22 is an excellent smartphone, but for me, it’s hard to pick out the differences from its predecessor. Instead of starting over and making a new design – which would be costly in terms of time and resources used up during production, they chose to refine some elements on this already great-looking handset!

This makes sense because nearly everything they did was upgrading style points rather than introducing new features or improvements.

Fingerprint Sensor

Ohh, I love it! The in-display fingerprint reader is back for another year! It’s as fast and smooth as last time, if not easier to use. The positioning of the readers makes one-handed operation much more manageable once you get used to where your thumb goes on the screen.

Impressive display

With a 6.1-inch Full HD+ display, the Samsung Galaxy S22 is one impressive phone! Other phones can be sharper, but you won’t find anyone who doesn’t like how this screen looks out of the box. It is excellent for those who do not need to adjust anything other than brightness levels on their device.

The new model features a 120Hz variable base setting that changes based on your display content without sacrificing smooth scrolling through UI/APPs while retaining its ability to boost battery life if locked solely into 60fps mode. However, you’ll lose some functionality if you go for heavy tasking. This device has an excellent display, and I haven’t experienced anything lagging.

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy S22 offers Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 support, but the latter is a step behind its more premium siblings in terms of speed still, it does a tremendous day-to-day job for me! So would it do for you, so don’t worry much.

I would have liked the option of RAM to be expandable up to 12GB, like its premium variants, but again it still does a good job in daily tasking.

One UI 4.1 

Users will love the new Android 12 and UI 4.1, which offer customization options that make your phone look like a carbon copy of itself with different wallpapers for each module. It’s especially great when you customize certain menus and widgets to match!

Though there are some issues, such as app icons not fitting well into their designated spaces, Samsung’s software still runs butter smooth on this device–and if anything happens while using the Edge panel? Don’t worry because it’s got ya back covered.

Small-Battery

The 3700 mAh isn’t too big of an offering for a smartphone, but it does just a decent job. It gets me through my daily tasks, but I can’t stretch its battery like the S22 ultra’s, even if I go on low-power mode.

With mid-to-light use, I get around 30% left at night. But if I use it throughout my day even for light tasks like message replying, and scrolling, it lasts for 4-5 hours, which is alarmingly low battery timing.

Triple Camera

This phone offers 3 back cameras, producing almost the same result as its big brother S22+. The color saturation of Samsung is very pleasing, and it will give lovable image and video results. Its front camera is also great and doesn’t lack anything if we compare it to its competitors.

Final Word

In my opinion, I think this phone just missed by a few centimeters from being one of the best one-hand smartphones because of its small battery size.
