Sennheiser PXC-550 ll: Specially Designed for Travelers

I am writing this review of the Sennheiser PXC-550 ll noise-canceling headphones to let you know why I think they are the best in their category. 

In this review, I will talk about their features and performance, as well as their compact design and comfortable fit.

Design – Simple yet Classy

I have used many headphones and most of the headphones have the same design but it still matters what is different in the product you are buying. 

So, in the case of the Sennheiser PXC-550 ll, the design is different and it looks very classy. The headband and ear cups are made of smooth plastic and the ear cups are also padded with synthetic leather which makes them more comfortable. 

Adjustable

There is plenty of adjustment in the headband and the ear cups can be articulated easily. The headphones can be folded flat and they are very light in weight.

Comfort – Lightweight and Comfortable

The headphones are lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods. The ear cups are very soft and they don’t hurt your ears even if you wear them for a long time. I have used many headphones and this one is the most comfortable.

Performance – Outstanding

I was blown away by the performance of these headphones. The sound quality is very good and the noise cancellation is also very effective. I have used many noise-canceling headphones but this one is the best. Bluetooth 5.0 ensures you have a stable connection but the micro USB charging port is a bit outdated. I liked the touch controls on the headset it gave me freedom.

Sound – 32mm Drivers Produce Great Sound

I felt they have upgraded their headphone’s sound quality very much. 32mm drivers produce great sound and the low and midrange frequencies are well reproduced. I liked their call performance because of the mic quality. It is very clear and the other person can hear you without any problem. A 3-mic beamforming array has been used to do a very good job in noise cancellation.

Sennheiser’s Handsome Smart Control App

This app allows you to adjust the sound to your liking and also save your presets. You can also see the battery status of the headphones and access the manual. The EQ and degree of noise-cancellation can be adjusted by this app which is a nice touch.

Battery life – Up to 30 Hours

I have tested its battery life with ANC. They lasted for 20 hours but without ANC they delivered much better. The battery lasted up to 30 hours on one charge which is quite good. The battery takes around 3 hours to charge and there is no quick charge feature so charging can give you serious issues sometimes.

Final Verdict 

I’d recommend these headphones to anyone looking for the best noise-canceling headphones on a budget. They are comfortable, sound great, and have good battery life. The only downside is the micro USB charging port but it is not a big issue. The app is very user-friendly and easy to use.
