My Oh My: A Review of So Gusto

So Gusto is a fast food joint near the Five Star Chowrangi. However, not all food items are that good. It is worth a visit if you’re looking for an affordable bite with pleasant service, but those seeking flavor and quality should look elsewhere!

What we don’t like

  • Hit or miss food quality

Once upon a time, in a kingdom t near the Five Star Chowrangi, I stumbled upon a peculiar fast food joint called So Gusto. It was a hole-in-the-wall, with a menu that promised to tantalize my taste buds.

And so, I entered in search of a culinary adventure. Little did I know that my journey would include surprises and disappointments; some bites more spectacular than others – leaving me questioning, ‘So…Gusto?’

Dear readers, continue reading my review as I recount my journey to the land of So Gusto.

Taste: Fine, Just Fine

Ah, the Mushroom Fries!

They were a beautiful, golden-brown masterpiece of crispy, crunchy deliciousness. With each bite, I was transported to a world of earthy, umami flavors, bursting with the rich taste of mushrooms.

The exterior was perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of salt and spices to bring out the natural savoriness of the mushrooms. It was a love affair like no other.

But then, I took a bite of the So Gusto Boss Burger, and my world came crashing down. The chicken patty was dry and flavorless, with a texture that was more akin to sawdust than succulent poultry. It lacked the juicy, savory taste I expect from a good burger.

However, the burger did have some redeeming qualities.

The bun was soft and fluffy, with a subtle sweetness that provided a nice contrast to the savory fillings. And the toppings were abundant and flavorful, with crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and melty cheese adding much-needed moisture and flavor to the otherwise dry patty.

Price: Reasonable

So Gusto’s prices are satisfactory, to say the least. Where So Gusto truly shines is in quantity. Every meal has generous portions, enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetites.

But here’s where it gets tricky: the food quality is hit or miss.

Some items, like the Mushroom Fries, are worth every penny. Others, like the Boss Burger, not so much. So, while the price is pocket-friendly, the other factors diminish its value for money!

Service: Customer-Centric

It was excellent. From the moment I stepped in, the staff treated me like royalty. The waiters were attentive and helpful, answering all my questions with a smile.

The best part of their customer service? The friendly reminder that ‘the customer is king.’ No matter what drawbacks So Gusto has regarding its food, the service is one of its strongest aspects.

Plus it is also accessible via FoodPanda. The next time you crave So Gusto, you know where to look!

Ambience: Comfy and Cozy

The interior of So Gusto is a pleasant surprise. Everything looks neat and clean, with bright colors and modern furniture that give the restaurant a cozy vibe. It’s an inviting atmosphere – perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with friends or family.

Honorable Mentions: Pizza’s Hit & Miss

Just like the burger, the Pepperoni Pizza was similarly a mixed bag!

The crust was crispy and chewy, with just the right amount of char from the oven to give it a satisfying crunch. The sauce was tangy and full of flavor, with a hint of sweetness that balanced the saltiness of the pepperoni. The cheese was melted to perfection, stretching in strings with each bite.

However, the letdown was the pepperoni. It was undercooked and too greasy, leaving a sickening sheen that ruined the taste.

Final Verdict

Is So Gusto worth your time and money? It depends.

So Gusto should do the trick if you’re looking for a quick bite with reasonable prices and friendly service. But if it’s flavor and quality you’re after, I suggest giving this place a miss.

My experience at So Gusto was a rollercoaster ride, with some highs and lows, but it failed to deliver a satisfactory all-around experience.

My advice: Put your money elsewhere! How can you decide where else to go for a good burger?

The answer is simple: with savyour. All these fantastic hand-picked food options are within reach. So, what’s the wait? Head to one of the top restaurants in Karachi today!
