Does Vivo Y01 offer good value for money? Do the specs back its price?

Design: Delicate Body

Vivo Y01 doesn’t have Corning Gorilla Glass. And that’s a big problem. 

Without Corning Gorilla Glass, my phone is much more susceptible to scratches and other forms of damage. That meant that when I dropped my phone, it damaged the screen. 

And once the screen is scratched or cracked, it’s very difficult and expensive to have it fixed.

Performance: Not Worth It

Quite disappointed! 

My phone is where I keep my most treasured memories in the form of photos and videos. These images sometimes go back as far as five or six years. 

But to save all these, I need space. That is not available in Vivo Y01. The 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM are very low. 

 Disappointing! They are not even at the same level as the other phones in the same price bracket.

Battery Life: Long-Lasting

Highly appreciate the battery of the Vivo Y01. It has a large 5000 mAh battery, which is great for me as I was on the lookout for a phone with excellent battery life. 

However, it should be noted that there is no fast charging or reverse charging support. This meant that I had to keep an eye on the battery level.

Camera: Not Up To The Mark

A low-quality camera phone. 

I remember when I first got this phone, I was so excited to use the camera. I had seen some of the other cameras out there and thought that this one would suffice. 

However, upon using it, I was very disappointed. The pictures came out blurry and the colors were off. I had to lower my standards a little bit in order to get by with this phone. 

Nevertheless, it gets the job done if you don’t mind its shortcomings.

Final Verdict

Vivo Y01 has an easy-to-use interface that makes it a good choice for first-time smartphone users. The battery life is also impressive, making it a good choice for budget-conscious consumers. 

But the rest of the specifications are not at all satisfactory. 

There are better options available in this price range that offer more features and value for money.
