Desi’s Dream: My Review of Waheed Kabab House

Kebabs are a staple in Pakistani cuisine, and Waheed Kabab House does them justice.

There’s no denying that it is one of Karachi’s most beloved kabab spots. And with good reason – the kebabs here are simply outstanding. The secret to their success lies in the perfect blend of spices and meats, which results in juicy, flavourful, and absolutely delicious kebabs. 

If you’re looking for an authentic kebab experience, then Waheed Kabab House is definitely the place to go. The menu features all of your favorite kebab dishes, including chicken tikka, lamb chops, and beef seekh kebabs. There’s also a wide selection of sides and desserts to choose from, so you can really make a meal of it. 

No matter what you order, you’re guaranteed to enjoy some of the best kebabs in Karachi at Waheed Kabab House.

Food: Fresh From The Oven

The food at Waheed Kabab House had us enchanted with the first bite! 

The Fry Kabab was served fresh and hot. The meat was cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The kebab was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was so big and filling that we could barely finish it.

The Chicken Tikka was phenomenal. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the tikka masala added a nice spicy flavor.

After dinner, we decided to satisfy our sweet tooth with Gulab Jamun. As far as the taste was concerned, it was no exception – so sweet and so fragrant. It was made with rose petals, sugar, and milk and had a delicate flavor that left me wanting more.

I went to Waheed Kabab House with just one other person. Our cumulative order was:

• Fry Kabab: PKR 450
• Chicken Tikka: PKR 350
• Gulab Jamun: PKR 120
• Raita: PKR 120
• Naan: PKR 30

The price is highly economical. You can get a lot of food for a meager price. What I liked most about Waheed Kabab House is that the kababs served are enormous!

Do you know the best part? Even if you go with a large group, the total bill would still be highly economical.

Service: Improves the Experience

The first thing you’ll notice upon entering Waheed Kabab House is the beautiful smell of spices wafting through the air. The second thing is the attentive and friendly service. The servers are happy to explain the menu and make recommendations based on your taste.

This made our dining experience even better. 

Ambiance: A World of Its Own

Visit Waheed Kabab House on the Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani Road in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The area is bustling with activity, in a bustling street. However, you are transported to a different world once you enter the restaurant. 

The ambiance of Waheed Kabab House is welcoming and has a soothing presence. The decoration is simple but lovely, and the furniture invites you to sit down and stay awhile.

Honorable Mentions: Nihari, Always and Forever

Definitely try the Nalli Nihari at Waheed Kabab House!

The perfectly tender and delicious nihari has meat that just melts in your mouth. The gravy is also very flavourful and goes well with the naan bread.

Waheed Kabab House is one of the best places to have it.

I enjoyed my experience at Waheed Kabab House and would recommend it to others in search of some delicious kebabs. The food was great, and the service and atmosphere were both inviting.
