A Wok in the Park: A Review of Wok’s

Are you a fan of the iconic Jackie Chan movies and their incredible fight scenes? Well, if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably worked up quite the appetite after watching those legendary battles. And what better way to satiate your hunger than with some delicious Chinese food?

Now, I have to be honest with you – Wok’s is a pretty great restaurant, it’s just not the best Chinese joint in town. But hey, it’s not like we’re expecting an Oscar-worthy performance from Adam Sandler, right? It’s good, and that’s all that matters.

Taste: Wok-derful

Let’s start with the Beef Chow Mein. This dish is a classic for a reason – the noodles are cooked to perfection, not too hard and not too soft. And the beef, oh the beef! It’s so tender it’ll practically melt in your mouth. The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, with just a hint of tanginess that’ll leave you wanting more.

Now onto the Chunking Chili Chicken. It’s spicy, it’s bold, and it’s oh-so-delicious. Don’t even get me started on the crispy texture of the chicken… it’s simply divine – juicy and succulent, with just the right amount of heat to wake you up. And oh, the spices. They’ll make you feel like you’re on a rollercoaster – up, down, and all around.

Moving on to the Wok’s Special Rice. The rice is fluffy and flavorful, and the sausages have just the right amount of snap. You’ll be scraping the bottom of the bowl for more. And finally, the Dry Dragon Chicken. This dish is a little bit crispy, a little bit spicy, and a whole lot of deliciousness.

Price: Not Too Shabby

I have to say that the prices at Wok’s are quite reasonable – PKR 680 for Beef Chow Mein, PKR 520 for Chunking Chili Chicken, PKR 540 for Wok’s Special Rice, and PKR 890 for Dry Dragon Chicken. It’s an excellent value for money, given the great food and the ample serving size.

Service: A Little Slow

The staff at Wok’s were all friendly and welcoming, which was a great start to the meal. However, I have to say that the serving time was a bit slow – it took around 40-45 minutes for our food to arrive. But, once we received our dishes, everything went smoothly from there.

If you don’t feel like leaving the house, Wok’s also has a delivery service available through FoodPanda. All the dishes are just as tasty as if you were eating at the restaurant. Plus, it’s convenient and hassle-free!

Ambience: Simple & Straightforward

The restaurant is quite simple, with a few tables and chairs scattered around. It’s nothing fancy, but it has all the basics you need for an enjoyable dining experience. But I can tell you one thing: it sure smells heavenly in there!

Honorable Mentions: More than Just Wok

In case you’re not interested in the dishes I previously mentioned, I highly recommend another one that will blow your mind – the Spicy Korean Cheesy Chicken. The chicken is crispy and coated in a spicy sauce that packs a punch and covered in a generous amount of melted cheese that takes it to a whole new level of deliciousness. It’s an incredibly delicious dish that you won’t regret trying.

Final Verdict
