Xiaomi Flipbuds Pro: Take your Music with You

When I first put on the Xiaomi Flipbuds Pro, I was amazed at how lightweight and comfortable they were. And thank goodness, because usually, earbuds give me a headache after an hour or so of use. 

But what sets these apart is their personalized sound feature. I can customize each earbud’s settings to create my unique listening experience. 

I like lots of basses or prefer highs and mids. I can adjust the Flipbuds Pro to fit my needs.

Design – Premium Comfort 

The first thing that caught my eye was the sleek, all-black design of the Flipbuds Pro. The earbuds and charging case has a matte finish that looks and feels premium. Xiaomi went with an in-ear design for the Flipbuds Pro, and each earbud has a copper ring around it. There are three sets of silicone ear tips in the box so that I can find a comfortable fit. The charging case is compact and supports wireless charging. There’s a USB-C port for wired charging as well.

The earbuds weigh just 4.7 grams each and fit snugly in my ears. They’re also IPX4 sweat and water-resistant, so I can use them while working out without worrying about them getting damaged.

Sound Quality –  Personalized and Powerful 

The Flipbuds Pro features 11 mm dynamic drivers and supports Hi-Res Audio. They also have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which does a great job of blocking background noise. I can adjust the ANC level using the Xiaomi Wear app. 

There are three levels to choose from – low, medium, and high. I usually keep it at the medium setting as it strikes a good balance between noise cancellation and allowing me to hear my surroundings. I can activate the transparency mode’ if  I want to block out all noise completely. This allows me to hear my surroundings while still enjoying my music and is useful when I’m out and about and need to be aware of my surroundings.

The sound quality of the Flipbuds Pro is excellent. The bass is punchy and doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. I can clearly hear all the details in my music. The soundstage is also impressive for a pair of earbuds. I can easily pick out individual instruments in a track.

The earbuds also have a ‘gaming mode’ that lowers the latency to just 120ms. This is useful if I’m playing a game that requires quick reaction times. There are two built-in microphones on each earbud that cancel out background noise. This ensures that my voice is clear even in noisy environments.

Battery Life – Long-lasting and Quick to Charge 

The Flipbuds Pro has a large 570mAh battery that offers up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge. This is with ANC turned off.

With ANC activated, the earbuds will last for 5 hours on a single charge. The charging case gives an additional 22 hours of battery life.

The earbuds support fast charging and 5 minutes gives me 2 hours of playback time. Xiaomi also includes a low-latency gaming mode that reduces the latency to just 120ms. 

This is useful if I’m playing a game that requires quick reaction times. The earbuds take 35 minutes to charge fully.

Final Verdict

The Xiaomi Flipbuds Pro is an excellent pair of earbuds. They’re comfortable to wear, have great sound quality, and offer long battery life. The ANC feature is also very effective at blocking out background noise. If you’re looking for a good pair of wireless earbuds, the Flipbuds Pro should be at the top of your list.
