When I thought about mobile phones at low prices, the first thing in my mind was the famous dialogue from the movie Forrest Gump “Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are gonna get.” The same goes for budgeted smartphones such as Poco M4 Pro.

Poco M4 Pro has a plastic body and gorilla glass 3 screen. It has an Octa-core processor, a brilliant camera setup, a large battery life, and fast charging.

In this review, let’s delve deeper into the Poco M4 Pro and explore its features and capabilities. If you decide to purchase this incredible phone from Allmytech via Savyour, you’ll have the opportunity to take advantage of great cashback on your purchase.

Design and Build – Softly Lit Design

I was shocked when I unboxed the Poco M4 Pro because it has an AMOLED display. Yes, you read that right! I don’t think any other smartphone offers an AMOLED display in this price range. The Poco M series is now DCI-P3 compatible. Thanks to the ultra-high contrast and comprehensive color gamut, I was completely immersed in every frame.

Poco M4 Pro has a light sensor that can detect changes in the light and adjust the display according to my comfort. I can easily read in bright sunlight, and it also has a certified eye care display that protects my eyes.

Performance – High Performance

If any mobile has an excellent camera, outstanding design, and large battery, these things will only matter once it performs well. I have never faced any lag in Poco M4 Pro. However, It has been better than its other features. Some of the main drivers of its performance are described.

– CPU

Poco M4 Pro has an Octa-core processor with a combination of ARM Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55, which provides high speed and a smooth experience.

– Chipset

It has a MediaTek chipset which is not top of the line chip for mobile phones, but it still performs better than other smartphones in this price range. I never have to wait when I switch between apps or play games.

– GPU

It has a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU which has a good graphical performance. I can play light games without any frame drops or graphics lag.

Battery Life – Large Capacity Battery

The battery life of 5000 mAh is really impressive. I can easily use it for more than 8 hours with heavy usage and 18+ hours with normal to light usage. I don’t have to worry about the battery and can use it without interruption.

It also has a fast charging feature that charges my phone from 0-50% in just 30 minutes—no more waiting hours for a complete charge.

Network/Wireless – Connectivity Everywhere

The Poco M4 Pro has excellent network coverage. I used this phone for a few months and never experienced any issues with reception or call quality. The cellular connection was stable throughout my time using it, even on the move in areas with poor reception.

This phone also supports dual-SIM cards and VoLTE, allowing me to make HD calls over the LTE network without any problems.

Additionally, I could connect to Wi-Fi networks reliably and quickly, making online gaming and streaming videos a breeze.

To sum it up, the Poco M4 Pro network performance is excellent and provides continuous service no matter where my location is.

Software – Poco’s User-Interface

Poco M4 Pro runs on Android 11, one of the few phones under 50,000 price range that comes with Android’s latest software. I love the new features like an improved permission system, new dark mode settings, optimized battery life, improved privacy settings, and much more. Plus, as a bonus, you get a full package of Google apps like Gmail, Chrome, Maps, etc.

Its MIUI 13 skin is also great, and the UI is slick and easy to navigate. There are plenty of customization options, allowing me to personalize my phone exactly as I want.

Camera – Eye-Catching Performance

Rear Camera

The camera performance of this phone was surprisingly good. The 64-megapixel rear cameras capture detailed images with vibrant colors and excellent dynamic range. It also has a dedicated night mode that takes low-light shots without noise or grain.

The panorama mode works just as expected and captures wide-angle shots with ease. I also tried its macro lens, which is great for taking close-up shots of small subjects.

Front Camera

The 16-megapixel front camera has AI beautify mode and works great for selfies. It has a portrait mode that blurs the background nicely, allowing me to take stunning portraits.

It is also equipped with HDR (High Dynamic Range) features. It helps me to capture images with greater detail and more accurate colors, even in challenging lighting conditions. HDR also produces brighter colors while preserving the darker areas of the picture, helping me take better photos and videos outdoors and indoors.

Exclusive Feature – Refresh Rate

The Poco M4 Pro’s exclusive feature is its 90 Hz refresh rate display. It makes all phone interactions more responsive and eliminates lag or stuttering, making it perfect for gaming. It would be hard-pressed to find a 90 Hz refresh rate in this price range, making this phone an excellent value for money.
